Viet Nam to break ground, inaugurate 234 projects on December 19

VGP – A grand ceremony will be held on December 19 to mark the groundbreaking and inauguration of 234 projects with a total investment capital of VND 3.4 quadrillion (US$129.1 billion).

These projects are expected to create new momentum for Viet Nam to achieve double-digit economic growth in the coming years.

Of the projects, 148 projects will start construction while the 86 projects will be inaugurated.

About VND627,000 billion (US$23.8 billion) will be funded by the State while the rest will be mobilized from other resources.

The ceremony will be held at 79 locations nationwide symbolizing the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance Day with one central venue, 12 in-person sites, and 67 online connection points.

Notable projects include the groundbreaking of the Olympic Sports Urban Area in Ha Noi, the launch of the first flight under the first phase of the Long Thanh International Airport project; the groundbreaking of the first component of the Lao Cai–Ha Noi–Hai Phong railway project; and the groundbreaking of the Red River Landscape Boulevard in Ha Noi.
