Tan Son Nhat Airport’s Terminal 3 (T3) is set to take off—three months ahead of schedule!

Vietnam welcomed 4.6 million international visitors in the first two months of 2025, a 68% YoY increase, underscoring the country’s rapid air travel recovery. To support this momentum, airport capacity upgrades are essential.

Terminal 3 (T3) at Tan Son Nhat Airport is on track for an early opening by the end of April. The 112,500m² facility will add capacity for 20 million passengers annually, bringing Tan Son Nhat’s total capacity to 50 million—a major step in easing congestion at Vietnam’s busiest airport.

How T3 enhances Tan Son Nhat:

✅ Eases congestion by shifting 80% of domestic flights from T1 to T3

✅ Optimizes passenger flow with 90 check-in counters, 27 boarding gates, and 20 self-service kiosks

Vietnam’s aviation expansion doesn’t stop here. The Long Thanh International Airport project is progressing well, positioning Vietnam as a regional aviation hub. The early launch of T3 underscores the government’s commitment to accelerating infrastructure investment, a key pillar in achieving its 8% GDP growth target.
